The Department of Labor proposes to update the federal rules on overtime pay, and this change will benefit over 13 million workers, if adopted. Tell the DOL what you think about the new overtime rules before the public comment period closes on Friday, September 4th.
Under the existing rule, workers earning as little as $23,660 can be excluded from overtime pay. The proposed rule will increase the overtime salary threshold from to $50,440.

Don’t be intimidated by the title of the proposed rule, “Defining and Delimiting the Exemptions for Executive, Administrative, Professional, Outside Sales and Computer Employees.” This propose rule is all about paying workers for the time they devote to their jobs.
